STIEFEL RP1 INSEKTEN-STOP Gel, 500 ml
Powerful insect repellent gel for sensitive horses. Long-lasting protection against flies, horseflies and ticks, alcohol-free, based onIcaridin® (Saltidin®). Also suitable for riders.
Effective against flies and insects for your horse
Stiefel RP1 Insekten-Stop is a highly effective insect-repellent gel that complies with biocidal regulations. Specifically for your horse, the gel deposits an olfactory barrier on the coat to deter flies, horseflies and ticks from landing.
The active ingredient Icaridin® (Saltidin®) is almost odorless for us: you protect your horse without a strong odor when grooming or in the stable. What the technical data sheet doesn't say is that, when applied regularly, this type of gel is particularly practical in areas where insects keep coming back.
Alcohol-free gel: proven dermatological tolerance
What really makes the difference is skin tolerance. Icaridin® is well tolerated by the skin: the gel is also suitable for riders and can be used on horses that react badly to sprays.
Best used if your horse suffers from eczema or reactive skin: the alcohol-free formula avoids the drying effect often experienced on fragile areas. In fact, whether in the saddle or in the stall, you can apply it more calmly to sensitive areas.
How to apply insect repellent
The most important thing to consider is the quality of the application. The gel is applied evenly with the sponge provided: you target the underside of the belly, the head and other delicate areas precisely, without needlessly applying it everywhere.
If you also use the spray from the same range, the combination is very coherent: the spray covers large surfaces quickly, the gel finishes off sensitive areas cleanly. You save time while maintaining regular protection.
Long-lasting protection for horses sensitive to insect bites
Stiefel RP1 Insect-Stop Gel is particularly suitable for sensitive areas and for horses that can't stand spraying. In concrete terms, you can protect your horse's nostrils, head and belly without any spray noise, and therefore without creating tension during application.
I prefer this format when a horse is quickly startled or defends itself against treatment. What really makes a difference on a daily basis is a more precise application and a horse that remains calm during protection.
