The active ingredient Saltidin® (Icaridin) is at the heart of the formula: insects are durably repelled, with no noticeable odour for horse or rider. What really changes on the track is that the horse is more available, without the agitation of insect attacks.
What's most important is skin tolerance. Here, the formula is reputed to be very well tolerated by the skin: preferable if your horse reacts quickly to overly aggressive products.
The roll-on format enables a clean, localized application. In practice, in the saddle or when grooming, it's very practical for horses who dread the noise or sensation of a spray.
This format is particularly well-suited to the sensitive areas of the head and belly. What the technical data sheet doesn't say is how comfortable it is to use: you apply just the right amount, with no need to disperse the product.
The volatile properties of the active ingredient create a light repellent barrier: your horse remains protected for several hours after application. I prefer this type of formula when you need to hold out for an outing, transport or paddock time loaded with insects.

Use: apply a small amount of RP1 Insekten-Stop using the ballpoint pen to the areas to be treated. Protection works immediately after application.
Important point: contrary to the original text, do not use on eyes, ears, nostrils or mucous membranes. In concrete terms, stay around sensitive areas, never on them.
