HKM Comfort Premium fly blanket images
Specifically for your grazing horse, this fly blanket HKM provides reliable protection against flies, horseflies and mosquitoes. The 3D mesh fabric helps wick away sweat, so your horse stays drier and more comfortable when temperatures rise.
The most important thing to look for is the quality of the workmanship. The Comfort Premium fly rug HKM incorporates functional material on the back and loins: two highly exposed areas when your horse is outdoors.
Crossed straps keep the blanket securely in place without restricting movement at pasture or during transport. The tail strap reduces the risk of slipping forward, even if your horse moves a lot.
The 3D mesh fabric improves perspiration evacuation, keeping your horse more comfortable on hot days. In fact, whether in the saddle or in the meadow, this type of mesh also limits stagnant moisture, often responsible for chafing.
Fly protection works where it really counts: flying insects have less access to covered areas. A good choice if your horse reacts strongly to insect bites in summer.
At this price level, I find the HKM fly cover to be consistent for regular use in the pasture. What really makes a difference on a daily basis is the extended coverage of the back, neck and flanks for horses quickly bothered by insects.
