WHAT IS NETTLE?
Urtica dioïca also known as stinging nettle, perennial nettle, common nettle. Nettle is a well-known and easily recognized herbaceous perennial plant. Its green, serrated leaves are covered with stinging hairs. Generally disliked, it has many advantages.
WHY AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
Rich in vitamins (B, C, E, provitamin A), minerals and trace elements, and essential amino acids.
Nettle is one of the richest plants in complete proteins, containing up to 40% of its dry weight in protein.
Its high antioxidant content boosts the immune system, while its high iron content helps combat fatigue.
To drain the horse's liver and body, thanks to its diuretic properties.
Caution: Nettle is reputed to be an abortifacient and to affect the menstrual cycle. We therefore advise against giving nettle to pregnant and nursing mares. Ask your veterinarian for advice.
